Honey That Heals Communities
For youth in rural western Uganda, opportunities are rare. Through ERI’s beekeeping project, young people like Moses found a new path. He received a beehive, training, and support to harvest and sell honey. “I sold my first jars in the market and used the money to buy school supplies for my siblings,” he said. Beyond income, the beekeeping initiative protects nearby forests, as hives encourage tree preservation. Every drop of honey is a sign of environmental care and empowerment.
